Jay Zapata

Jay founded JZD Holdings in 2020 and serves as the firm’s Principal. He leads the strategic direction of the firm and directs its investments. Prior to founding JZD, Jay served as the Director of Optimization of a private-equity backed crude oil logistic firm. During his tenure, he lead cost reduction efforts and pricing rate restructuring.

Jay has also served as a Financial Controller of a construction materials firm and has over 10 years of experience managing P&Ls and company assets in the private sector.

Jay studied Computer Science and Engineering at UC Davis and received a BSBA in Accounting and Finance from Cal State Bakersfield.
